DLC Training recently named Jenny Wild CIPS student of the Year and Overall Student of the Year in our Annual Awards.
The criteria for entries included a demonstration of outstanding commitment to the course and exemplary work submissions; all of the nominations for this category were of an exceptional standard but our independent judging panel agreed that Jenny had gone above and beyond the level expected of students.
Jenny, Purchasing Team Leader at Wavin Ltd, Edlington, was presented with an official certificate and trophy by Brent Nicholls and Bastian Jonkhoff, Managing Director and Supply Chain Director of SW Europe.
DLC’s Business Training and Development Advisor, Jacky Stansfield, was delighted to inform Jenny of her accolade: “Jenny has shown such high levels of commitment throughout her studies that she was immediately shortlisted for this sought after award, her hard work and dedication is reflected in the outstanding results she received for each of the five examinations. Jenny’s drive and motivation were key to her having been chosen as a finalist then ultimately being selected as not only the Student of the Year in the CIPS category but also the DLC Training & Training ‘Overall Student of the Year’.
We are delighted that Jenny’s employer, Wavin Ltd, is as committed to Jenny’s training and development as she is herself. Their forward thinking approach is evident in the enthusiasm shown toward her achievement of this award.
Jenny commented: ‘The best part about studying CIPS Level 4 was the recognition my employer gave me upon receiving student of the year – it was one of those rare moments, in amongst the day to day activities, where my employer took the time and made the effort to stop and celebrate my success alongside me’
‘Studying via the DLC was a great starting point when embarking on CIPS, enhancing my overall study and revision time tables and exam technique. Having that extra support gives greater encouragement to sit the exams and finish the Level in a much quicker time frame’.
Jenny is now considering progressing her CIPS journey with DLC Training.
