Figures released by Reed for November show that employer demand for new workers in the UK rose again in November, reaching a new high.

Employer demand reached its highest point since the Reed Employment Index began in December of last year, increasing 4 points from 107 in October to 111 in November.

This is good news for UK jobseekers, indicating that employers are still taking on new staff despite the uncertain economic situation.

The IT & Telecoms, Financial Services and Engineering sectors performed best. However, the Admin Secretarial and PA sector showed a drop in demand against October.

Average salaries for new jobs also climbed two points from 94 in October to 96 in November.
