Many organisations now offer financial support towards their employees’ career development. True to Amazon’s efficient nature, they have developed an entire programme dedicated to streamlining this process for their employees.

The Amazon Career Choice Programme contributes 95% (up to a maximum of £2,000 per year towards a nationally accredited qualification. Individuals can receive up to £8,000 over four years, making it much more affordable to develop professionally.

How Does Amazon Career Choice Work?

To get started, you’ll need to sign in to the Amazon Career Choice website. From here, you can browse the full catalogue of courses that have been pre-approved for study. The portal will also show you the different training providers that offer the courses across the UK. When you have selected a course, you can complete your Amazon Career Voucher application form via the Career Choice portal.

When you have submitted your application and received funding approval from Amazon, the training provider will receive confirmation of this. Once they have confirmation, they’ll send you the online enrolment form to complete and require you to organise your contribution. You will then be able to get started on your learning journey.

What Will My Contribution Be?

Your contribution will depend on the course you decide to study. Amazon will fund 95% of your course, but this is up to £2,000 per year. For example, if the course you are enrolling on costs £1,900, they will pre-pay 95% of this, which is £1,805. This would make your contribution £95. If you are enrolling on a course that costs £2,200, 95% of this is £2,090. Because Amazon will pay up to £2,000 per year, the maximum they will pay for this course is £2,000, making your contribution £200.

You may be able to set up a payment plan for your contribution, depending on the value and course duration. You can speak with a Course Advisor to learn more about our courses while also exploring your payment options.

Who Is Eligible for the Amazon Career Choice Programme?

You’ll be eligible for the Amazon Career Choice Programme if you are a UK hourly or salaried L1-L3 Amazon employee. You will need to have at least one year of employment under your belt before applying.
